In Crimea, the increase in the incidence of COVID-19 during the high alert regime was 18% and exceeded that in Moscow.
Natalya Penkovskaya, head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, stated this at a meeting of the headquarters for countering the spread of coronavirus infection, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“To date, 51 cases have been laboratory confirmed in Crimea, the average growth rate in our republic over the last 5 weeks is 18%, this is basically more than what Moscow has reached now, they have a 14% daily growth rate,” she said Penkovskaya.
“Over the past XNUMX hours, five people have been infected. Two are previous family homes. One person is in the Railway Hospital, was hospitalized with pneumonia, special attention was paid to him, Bakhchisaray district. And two cases - Saki district and Dzhankoy district. The situation suggests that it is too early to relax; a plateau has not yet formed,” added the head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov.
Thus, to date, 51 people infected with COVID-19 have been registered in Crimea, of which 23 people have recovered and been discharged. No new infections have been identified in Sevastopol over the past 18 hours. The total number of infected people in the city was XNUMX, of which five were discharged from hospitals.
