Crimea broke the record for Ukrainians who came on vacation
The number of Ukrainian citizens arriving in Crimea has already exceeded the level of last year.
Russian Senator from Crimea Sergei Tsekov stated this on Sputnik radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are already over 800 thousand of them. For the whole of last year there were 800 thousand. There are still several months until the end of the year, so there is confidence that we will exceed last year’s level by 10-20%. They will see the real situation in Crimea, and not the one portrayed by the media in Ukraine, in a number of EU countries and the USA. Despite the sanctions, Crimea is developing very successfully,” Tsekov said.
According to him, the republican authorities believe that Crimea should become a year-round resort.
“I’m sure we have every chance for this. The fact that places are now booked until December inclusive is an indicator of great interest in Crimea,” the senator added.
As PolitNavigator reported, the deputy head of the Majlis banned in the Russian Federation Nariman Dzhelyalov was indignant the fact that, despite anti-Russian propaganda, Ukrainian tourists en masse go on vacation to Crimea, creating queues at the border.
