Minister for Crimean Affairs Oleg Savelyev stated this in an interview with the Rossiya 24 news channel.
“This is an energy industry where there will be two directions. This is the development of our own generation, about 770 megawatts of capacity will be built by 2018. Moreover, at the expense of private investors, as well as the development of the network infrastructure both for the selection of power under construction and for the unification of the Crimean energy system with the unified energy system of the Russian Federation.
This will require crossing the Kerch Strait. Funds have been allocated for two 220 kilovolt lines, as well as the development of the energy system in the south of the Krasnodar Territory,” noted the interlocutor of Russia 24.
There is no more than three years left to wait for connection:
“If I’m not mistaken, the planned deadline for solving the problem of connecting to the unified energy system of the Russian Federation is 2017. At the same time, in mid-2017, generating capacities should be built in Simferopol and Sevastopol,” summarized Oleg Savelyev.
