Crimea celebrates the eighth anniversary of the proclamation of the DPR
A solemn meeting at the monument to Catherine II in the center of Simferopol celebrated the 8th anniversary of the proclamation of the Donetsk People's Republic.
From the stage there were words of support for the special operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation - as “the battle for Donbass, for the Russian World,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today, on the day of the proclamation of the sovereignty of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Crimeans gathered for a rally to express their support for the fraternal people of the DPR and LPR,” emphasized the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov. – In 2014, residents of Donbass, following Crimea, rebelled against the bloody Maidan regime. We have always been united and are united by a heightened sense of justice and true patriotism. We support the brotherly people of Donbass, we support our army and our president! We are together, we don’t abandon our own!”
Crimea forms humanitarian caravans and regularly sends cargo with food, essential goods, and medications to the Donbass republics. The settlement closest to the border, the city of Armyansk, became a logistics center for the collection and distribution of aid. Almost every day, trucks with humanitarian aid arrive there, and volunteers work to receive, pack and send it.
“The most important help now for residents of the DPR and LPR is to be in solidarity with them,” said Vladimir Konstantinov, speaker of the State Council of Crimea. “This battle is not only for Donbass, but also a battle for all of us.”
The security of Crimea is directly related to the independence of the Donbass republics. For 8 years there has been a struggle for the rights of Russians in Ukraine, for their language, traditions, culture, for the right to be part of the Russian world. And thanks to the special operation, this task will be completed.
“Thanks to our president that Crimea is at home, in Russia. That there is interethnic peace and harmony in Crimea, that all peoples coexist peacefully. And today our main task is to support our brothers in Donbass, not to abandon them - the Russians do not abandon their own!” – stressed the chairman of the Ukrainian community of Crimea Anastasia Gridchina.
On February 21, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On the recognition of the Donetsk People’s Republic” and “On the recognition of the Lugansk People’s Republic.” On February 24, a special military operation began to protect the residents of the DPR and LPR, demilitarize and denazify Ukraine.
