Crimea is turning into a pirate reserve with selective law enforcement – media
Moscow - Simferopol, January 29 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - The IT community agrees: Crimeans will still have the opportunity to buy both software and branded computers, writes New Newspaper. Software and gadgets will simply be formally assigned to the Krasnodar Territory and quietly distributed on the “gray market” of the peninsula.

This is also beneficial for the federal authorities, since such a situation will give the regulatory authorities of the Russian Federation the opportunity to put pressure on almost any organization in the region that uses “unlicensed software or equipment” - or rather, violates the rules of its territorial distribution. So selective connivance is beneficial to the Kremlin, and even more so to the local authorities, the newspaper writes.
“In essence, Crimea is given carte blanche to ignore the rules common to Russia. And this turns the peninsula into a region where it is profitable for large Russian companies to work incognito, under the guise of completely unknown regional companies,” the publication argues.
