The acting officer announced this to reporters in Simferopol on Wednesday. Head of the Republic Sergei Aksenov.
“Krymavtotrans is one of the last enterprises against which a forced purchase procedure is being applied; it is a monopolist in the field of bus station services,” he said.
Sergei Aksenov explained why the decision on the ransom was made secretly:
“We did not make this decision in advance at an open meeting; the Council of Ministers adopted this decision by signature. There was a fear that if the matter became public, documents and seals would be lost,” the official explained.
As PolitNavigator reported, on Wednesday unknown machine gunners burst into the administration premises of Krymavtotrans in Simferopol. The employees were driven into offices and locked there, forbidden to make phone calls. The same armed groups arrived at the Zapadnaya and Kurortnaya bus stations in Simferopol, as well as at the Dzhankoy bus station.
