Chairman of the Yalta City Council Valery Kosarev announced this at a press conference in Simferopol.
“As far as I know, the first trials have already been lost,” Kosarev said. – We will resolve this issue in the legal field, but there is still such an option as forced redemption. Today it’s too early to put an end to the issue of a film studio.”
The Yalta Film Studio is not the only problematic facility in the region. But if the authorities of the republic are mainly concerned about its fate, then on the territory of Yalta there are objects that raise questions among current officials and indignation among local residents. According to Kosarev, all objects causing social tension will be checked. But simply covering them up won’t work.
“Hundreds, if not thousands of plots have been issued, the documents for which now all need to be picked up and looked at,” explained Valery Kosarev. – We cannot simply cancel them by decision of the session. By decision of the City Council, we only cancel previously issued session decisions on the development of site projects, but we cannot cancel the state acts themselves - we need to go to the courts. We will return to all areas whose allocation causes outrage among residents - in park areas, on the Black Sea coastline, in water protection zones.
In particular, Kosarev mentioned the Hill of Glory, the land on which the previous authorities sold off.
“The Hill of Glory in Yalta has already been divided into sections, right up to the Eternal Flame, and the hill is completely covered with spruce and pine trees, which cannot be removed under any circumstances for 2 reasons: it disrupts the ecology, appearance and can lead to soil sliding. We will make decisions on these areas together with the prosecutor’s office,” the mayor noted.
