Crimea surrendered to the Ukrainian army - Lyashko’s recognition
Ukrainian soldiers who refused to open fire in 2014 were responsible for the fact that Crimea became Russian.
The leader of the “Radical Party” Oleg Lyashko said this on the air of the Internet channel “Vlast vs Vlashchenko”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
He criticized the former commander of the Belbek military airfield near Sevastopol, Yuliy Mamchur, who, holding a banner in his hands and shouting “America is with us,” left his unit rather than scrambling planes and starting bombing raids.
“Who surrendered Crimea? The Ukrainian army that was stationed in Crimea. 70% of them were local, they betrayed. I personally witnessed how Turchinov gave orders to shoot when military units were captured,” the deputy said.
He believes that Ukraine lost Crimea for two reasons.
“The first is direct Russian aggression, the second is the ineffective Ukrainian military units that were stationed in Crimea. Remember Mamchura, the hero, who came out of Crimea with a flag. What is heroism? He surrendered the aviation brigade instead of bombing and shooting the invaders who came to capture, they opened the gates and he, the hero, comes with the flag. When they mold us these Mamchurov-heroes, they surrendered Crimea. Because they had an aviation brigade - why didn’t they bomb those ships that were carrying Russian troops,” Lyashko said.
