Today, September 22, the court in Simferopol is to pronounce the final verdict on the “Crimean journalist and analyst” Nikolai Semenya.

Let us recall that in 2016, the Crimean FSB filed a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 280.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for actions aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, committed using the media or the Internet). The reason was the publication of an extremist nature in Realii, “The blockade is a necessary first step towards the liberation of Crimea.”

Semyon’s case was taken under personal control by Natalya Poklonskaya, who at that time headed the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and, as we see, was brought to its logical conclusion. The prosecutor's office proposes to sentence Semyon to 3,5 years probation.

Despite the fact that Semyon is not hanging out in a pre-trial detention center, but is under recognizance not to leave the place, receives qualified defense from three lawyers and a suspended sentence, not the most significant case has received a wide international response.

The immediate release of Semyon is demanded in Kiev by the US Embassy in Russia, the OSCE representative Dunja Minjatovic, a crowd of Mejlisoids and other compassionate figures who are very selective in finding the unfortunate and at the same time ignoring real imprisonments on far-fetched charges and bloody repressions in the sponsored Ukraine.

A few words about Nikolai Semyon himself and what his tearful biographers are silent about.

The “hero” was born in 1950 in the Chernihiv region, where he went to kindergarten and school. After school, he served in the army and got a job at a local newspaper. In 1976 he graduated from Kiev State University. Shevchenko and worked as a correspondent in the Zaporozhye region. Then, one of the senior officials noticed the guy writing and began to promote him up the party propaganda line: from 1980 to 1982, Semyon studied at the journalism department of the Higher Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine. After graduating from the High School, Semyon was sent to Crimea, where he worked first as the deputy editor-in-chief of one of the local newspapers in Sudak, and then in Simferopol, and also in senior editorial work.

The turning point in Semyon’s career was the beginning of the 90s and her work as a staff correspondent for the central newspaper Izvestia. At this time, an internal coup was taking place in the publication: journalists, overwhelmed by the delusional ideas of the Catastrophe, removed the leadership of the newspaper and declared themselves independent from the authorities, the CPSU, but primarily from brains and common sense.

As one might expect, nothing good happened to the newspaper as a result. On the contrary, like a shkolota set free, the “creative team” of Izvestia turned a reputable publication into a yellowish leaflet, which affected the circulation and profitability of the publication, which was later bought by some Cypriot or Greek oligarch. And “independence” disappeared again.

The disappointed journalists of Izvestia, who were again forced to work in line with editorial policy, and not pour out the juice of their fevered brains on innocent readers, composed an “exposing” book “Journalism is finished - forget it.” It was with this gang of disastrous loudmouths that the Crimean correspondent Semyon got in touch.

In 1997, Izvestia, battered by counter-revolutionary storms, experienced new personnel changes and was forced to reduce the staff of correspondents in a number of regions. Semyon was also laid off, leaving only one correspondent in Kyiv for the whole of Ukraine. But, in general, Semyon did not disappear and went to work for the Kiev publication “Zerkalo Nedeli”, simultaneously collaborating with the all-Ukrainian newspaper “Den” with a nationalist orientation (it is edited by Larisa Ivshina, the wife of the former head of the SBU Yevgeny Marchuk, who carried out an operation against the Republic of Crimea in 90s).

What a wonderful transformation: from a graduate of the Higher School of Economics to a Russian liberal journalist, and then to a professional “patriot of Ukraine” and defender of the “Majlis”. Weather vane man.

Already in the Ukrainian Crimea, Semyon became acquainted with representatives of the self-proclaimed “Majlis” and provided them with a number of media services. In 2010, Semyon poured a bucket of syrup and molasses on the Majlis, releasing a book with the pathetic title “Mustafa Dzhemilev - the man who defeated Stalinism.” One could continue the name “climbing through the windows,” but the fake man on a salary was modest in developing the topic.

Another interesting detail in Semyon’s biography is her work in the press service of Sergei Kunitsyn, a arrogant schemer and lackey, well known in Crimea and Sevastopol, appointed first by Kuchma and then by Yushchenko. It’s just that Kunitsyn couldn’t make himself look at Turchinov, because at the beginning of March 2014 the “permanent representative” was kicked in the ass by the Crimeans back to where he came from.

As you understand, working for Kunitsyn’s team and licking the Mejlis extremists are additional compromising touches to the portrait. In addition, many journalists who knew Semyon from working together spoke of him as a completely mature Ukronatsik, although without fanaticism. True, there are other opinions of people who know Semyon, who claim that the “hero” is an ordinary representative of the “second oldest”, who has no convictions.

Immediately after the 2014 referendum, Radio Liberty organized the anti-Crimean project “Crimea.Realities”, headed by Vladimir Pritula - by the way, who considers himself a student of Semyon. He also warmed up the “teacher” in a new media project.

According to the Crimean NTV correspondent Oleg Kryuchkov, the “independent” journalist Pritula has long been closely supervised by the American intelligence services and the SBU. For many years, Pritula worked for Radio Liberty and regularly went on special internships to Poland, the Baltics, the Czech Republic, and the USA under the Open World program.

Kryuchkov reports that Pritula, working as chairman of the “Committee for Monitoring Press Freedom in Crimea,” carried out his activities under the watchful control of curators, while helping only the “necessary” journalists, including Semyon.

Kryuchkov claims that Pritula leaked information to curators about Crimean journalists and, having fled to Kyiv with the beginning of the Crimean Spring, continues to inform on his Kyiv colleagues.

Moreover, according to NTV’s special correspondent, criminal cases initiated in Crimea against employees of the Crimea.Realities project became possible solely thanks to Pritula. “You're a bitch, Volodya, and an informer! How many people left Crimea because of you, how many did you turn in? Scoundrel! Are you doing well in Kyiv? And people are imprisoned in Crimea, your people!” Kryuchkov wrote on his Facebook page, promising to continue to cover the specific activities of the vice-chairman of Crimea.Realities.

By the way, Kryuchkov is not the first to suggest that Brekhalia could easily frame the “media expert” Semyon for the monastery by publishing an article with extremist content on his behalf. The goal is still the same: to artificially create a sacred sacrifice, an information feed, in order to raise the stench to the skies.

Which, however, does not negate the medical fact that Semyon, who sang the praises of the Majlis terrorists, deservedly received his criminal case.

Whether Pritul framed his “teacher” or not will be clear from Semyon’s activities after the verdict. If “Brechalia” resumes publishing extremist articles signed by Semena, who remains in Crimea, it is clear that the “moderate” Ukronatsik has indeed been used by the “student and benefactor” for utilitarian purposes.

Radio Liberty with its projects is a propaganda dump.
