Moscow - Simferopol, April 21 (Navigator, Mikhail Stamm) - “We are now faced with the fact that trains heading to Ukraine do not return, as a result of which we have already lost many cars,” First Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Rustam admitted to Kommersant Temirgaliev.

According to Temirgaliev, due to the retention of wagons by Ukraine, only private railway operators are now driving rolling stock there. This increases the Crimean Railway's need for investment. They are also needed to renew the KR freight fleet, most of which is worn out.
The head of the Infoline-Analytics agency, Mikhail Burmistrov, believes that Crimea’s total freight fleet needs are about 10 thousand wagons (the entire freight fleet of Ukraine is estimated at 180 thousand wagons).
