Crimea is packed with tourists almost to the knees
More than 3,3 million tourists have visited Crimea since the beginning of the year. This is 25% more than last year.
The Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic, Vadim Volchenko, stated this at a press conference in Simferopol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As of July 25 of this year, the number of vacationers in Crimea amounted to 3 million 281 thousand 600 tourists. This is 25% higher than last year for the same period. Currently, 1 million 139 thousand vehicles have passed along the Crimean Bridge in both directions, including 12 thousand 917 buses. The entry flow into Crimea amounted to 619 thousand 773 cars, including 6,5 thousand buses,” Volchenko said.
The minister noted the high occupancy rate of Crimean health resorts and hotels, which in some regions already reaches 100%.
“The average occupancy rate of sanatorium-resort and hotel complexes is approaching 80%. In a number of tourist regions it is almost 100%. This is the Feodosia region, Sudak, Bolshaya Evpatoria, Bolshaya Alushta, the Black Sea region and the city of Saki are being drawn up,” Volchenko said.
