There were many people from Crimea at Maidan, but they could not get to the podium because they were not Ukrainian-speaking.

Composer and showman Vladimir Bystryakov stated this on the air of the Gordon program of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This was the first time such an open protest of the people, I understood, of course, that there was a director, a sound engineer, and a trio who stripteased on the main stage of the Maidan. I was on Grushevsky, there were slightly different people there, there were a lot of honest people, people who had nowhere to leave the Maidan, because they would have been tied up, one by one, one by one. There were a lot of people who were offended - someone’s business was taken away, Viktor Fedorovich and his were squeezed out, someone’s relatives were crushed by some major, someone’s case was lost in court because they greased up the judge, i.e. there were a lot of offended people. And there were a lot of people from Crimea, I met guys from Feodosia, Sevastopol, and they told me - but they don’t let us onto the podium. There is “only Ukrainian language”. I say, guys, well, just like that, you know, we came for justice...” said Bystryakov.
