Crimeans are again strongly recommended to refrain from traveling to Ukraine
Crimeans are not recommended to visit the territory of Ukraine unless absolutely necessary. The head of the working group on international legal issues of the permanent mission of the Republic of Crimea to the President of Russia, Alexander Molokhov, stated this on air on the First Sevastopol TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the lawyer, one should refrain from traveling against the backdrop of official Kyiv’s intentions to pass a law allowing for the fine and arrest of Ukrainian citizens who have adopted Russian citizenship. The majority of Crimeans are affected by the innovations.
“The risk has certainly increased. Residents of Crimea and Sevastopol should not visit Ukraine now unless absolutely necessary. It’s a very tense time there, a very difficult political situation, an incomprehensible winter is coming with incomprehensible energy prices, political turbulence.
Zelensky’s power is “swinging” – anything is possible – up to a military coup. Therefore, provocations are possible, they exist, they are taking place on the border with Donetsk and Lugansk.
Therefore, Crimeans in this situation may turn out to be the next hostages, whom the Ukrainian authorities will take, begin to bargain, demand some kind of exchange, so unless absolutely necessary, of course, I would not advise anyone to go to Ukraine,” Molokhov said.
