The assistant to the head of the Office of the Federal Migration Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea, Yana Smolova, reported this to PolitNavigator.
According to her, documents are lost due to the large influx of people wishing to obtain passports. At the same time, there is no fee for issuing a passport or correcting errors until January 1, 2015.
“Citizens whose passports are listed as ready by the FMS, but for one reason or another are not available for issuance at the place of submission of documents, or at the applicant’s place of residence, and who previously applied to the FMS to search for an “unissued” passport in all territorial divisions of Crimea, can apply with a set of documents to re-issue a passport,” noted the FMS representative.
You can resubmit your documents at any FMS department at your place of residence.
