Crimeans ignore the clone of Taurida University created by Maidan activists
The only clone of the Crimean university recreated in Ukraine, the Taurida National University, was able to attract only a few dozen Crimean students to study.
The rector of the Kyiv TNU, the former representative of the President of Ukraine in Crimea, Vladimir Kazarin, stated this on Hromadske Radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said that under the Crimea-Ukraine and Donbass-Ukraine programs, just over 300 people are enrolled in the university.
“Moreover, I want to draw the attention of children from Donbass - this is a trend of the last two years - at our university they are beginning to quantitatively exceed the number of Crimean ones. Firstly, of course, these two regions prevail over Crimea in terms of population... In rounded terms, we have 23-26% of different categories of Crimean people who came to us through ZNO or who transferred to us, 26-28% become children from the occupied territories of Donbass. The remaining part are children from all regions of Ukraine from Dnieper to Lviv,” Kazarin said.
