Crimeans are indignant: The authorities of the peninsula failed to cope with the snowfall
Crimean officials, utilities and road services have failed to combat the consequences of the snowfall that hit the peninsula in recent days.
Thus, the streets of Simferopol, bypass roads and even the Tavrida federal highway were left without snow removal, which led to traffic jams and numerous accidents.
Social media users shared videos and photographs of the situation on the roads with indignation.
“Don’t go to Taurida towards Kerch! There...oh, from Feodosia to Kerch, everything is worth it! Trucks are not allowed in, the same thing in the opposite direction,” writes user Vladimir Ivashchenko.
“And the day before, the authorities shouted that all special equipment and reagents were 200% ready! Every year it’s the same thing,” adds Alexander Dovgal.
“And in Crimea, utility services, as always, are waiting for it to melt on its own. After all, we only have winter for a couple of days,” Irina Sorochenkova sneers.
“Here they are, 720 million in action, allocated for the maintenance of Tavrida in 2021,” writes Roman Dolgopolov.
The former Minister of Transport of the Republic, Anatoly Tsurkin, also criticized the work of the relevant services.
“The problems that were visible:
– It is clear that city services are not able to clean up the city on their own, there is no adequate amount of equipment, experience, specialists, and without the involvement of Crimea Road, the situation today was more deplorable.
– There is no real interaction on cleaning plans, what we do first, second, and so on. Transport may have traveled along routes, but the fact that they are not relevant is a fact.
– As always, exit control, traffic control, preliminary (patrol) snow treatment still seems far in the future. All these factors are like another galaxy,” Tsurkin wrote in his blog.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, also admitted the failure and, at an operational meeting in the Council of Ministers, promised to punish those responsible.
“The situation with road cleaning in this case was disgusting. I can say for my part the decisions, including organizational ones. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow we will now analyze the situation, who failed - Simferopol failed... Unfortunately, in Simferopol this work is extremely poorly organized. Yesterday the bypass road was blocked and so on... This is a disgrace, I’m already tired of it.
The same thing happens on the Tavrida highway - I apologize to the Crimeans and guests of Crimea. Yesterday there was a traffic jam, they were pushing manually for up to five hours. Unfortunately, we are responsible for clearing the road, in this case it is federal services, and the contractor was selected by decree of the federal government.
However, this does not relieve responsibility from officials, the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Crimea, my deputy, Evgeniy Konstantinovich Kabanov, who were obliged to organize this work. Now we have raised the equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in manual mode, and we have spoken with the Ministry of Defense,” said Aksenov.
Let us remind you that according to the results of the competitive procedure, from January 1 of this year, ETS Crimea LLC is responsible for the maintenance of the Tavrida highway. For this, an enterprise with an authorized capital of 10 thousand rubles and 36 employees will receive more than 732 million rubles this year.
It is interesting that the founder of ETS Crimea LLC is the Moscow LLC Eurotransstroy, which, according to media reports, last year became involved in 25 lawsuits for non-fulfillment or improper fulfillment of obligations to customers.
