Simferopol, May 07 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) - Commander of the Black Sea Fleet Alexander Vitko, in his congratulations on Victory Day, emphasized the special nature of its celebration in 2014.

“All of us, Crimeans and Sevastopol residents, are celebrating this Victory Day on Russian soil, in our home, where the Black Sea Fleet was born, grew stronger and won its glory. This is also our victory. Thank you for your help, understanding, endurance and courage during the period when our common fate was being decided,” the Black Sea Fleet press service quotes the admiral.
On May 9, the commander noted, Victory Parades will be held not only in the hero cities of Sevastopol and Novorossiysk, but also for the first time in 23 years in Kerch, where artillery salutes will be fired.
“I wish you, dear comrades and friends in arms, good health, happiness and prosperity, inexhaustible energy, peaceful skies above your heads, success in service and work for the benefit of the Fatherland.
