Crimean sprat in tomato recognized as the best in Russia
The sprat in tomato produced at the Kerch "Proliv" plant scored the highest number of points - 4.263 - as part of an inspection carried out by Roskachestvo, the results of which are posted on the official website of the department.
As part of a study by Roskachestvo, sprat fried in tomato sauce from ten of the most popular brands among Russians was tested. The product was assessed based on 53 quality and safety indicators.
The examination revealed that Strait canned food contains the most protein – 12,88%.
“The product does not contain synthetic dyes. Fish used for canning is not affected by visible parasites. Its appearance corresponds to what is stated. There are no foreign impurities. However, the mass fraction of fish in the jar does not meet the Roskachestvo standard (its content is 70%),” says the Roskachestvo website.
Another Crimean brand of sprats in tomato, Ultramarine from the Arktika plant, also entered the top ten and scored 3,16 points.
In general, Roskachestvo is a high quality of Russian canned food. The products of all tested brands are made from fish caught in environmentally friendly places. Canned food was produced in compliance with sterility requirements. None of the producers replace sprat with other fish.
At the same time, the most expensive and cheapest canned food received almost the same points in the rating.
