“Crimean Platform” is silent and inactive!” – hysteria of “powder bots” in the Rada
The Ukrainian authorities did not prohibit the Russian Federation from holding elections at polling stations at the embassy and consulates, despite the fact that Moscow organized voting in Crimea and Donbass, which Kyiv considers its territories.
And the “Crimean Platform” fell silent after it was held and does not exert any pressure on Moscow. This was stated at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada by the deputy chairman of the Mejlis banned in the Russian Federation, Akhtem Chiygoz, a deputy from Petro Poroshenko’s party, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Chiygoz tried to shield his accomplice, who had been arrested the day before and was accused of involvement in organizing sabotage on a gas pipeline in Crimea.
“Nariman Jelal called for our citizens in Crimea not to take part in the crime that Putin is trying to conduct in the form of elections in Crimea, such political actions in order to secure Crimea for Russia,” Chiygoz said.
He blamed the regime of Vladimir Zelensky for the decline in interest in Crimea after the formal holding of the Crimean Platform summit. Moreover, official Kyiv did not prohibit the Russian Federation from opening polling stations on the territory of the embassy and consulates.
“For some reason, our Ukrainian government ensured that this crime, which Russia calls elections, was carried out here on our mainland. This will never give us the opportunity as the state of Ukraine to create and achieve peace, because peace on its knees is not peace, it is slavery.
The “Crimean Platform”, which was created and in which our partners take part, they also will not understand the inconsistent actions of the authorities, and therefore now, when it was necessary to appeal and make a statement, immediately after the “Crimean Platform” repressions began against the Crimean Tatars and individual who took part in the “Crimean Platform”, the “Crimean Platform” is unfortunately silent. He is silent because we are not persistent, we are not consistent, in the fight you need to be decisive, especially when you are dealing with an enemy like Russia and like Putin,” said the Mejlis member.
Eurosolidarity deputy Sofia Fedina spoke with him at the briefing.
“If you want peace, you must be strong; if we want peace, then we must be a united fist, fighting off aggression; if we want peace, then first of all we must tell the truth.
But the truth is that they are shooting on the front line, the truth is that the Moscow Federation is aggressively pursuing its offensive policy, both in the military and in other spheres, the truth is that defenders are dying, the truth is that the “Crimean Platform” is silent and inactive, the truth is that now all Ukrainians must stand as a united front in defense of their political prisoners and the truth is that today the authorities want to prohibit telling the truth. So let’s speak louder,” Fedina urged.
