Not only in Ukraine, but also in Russia, after the collapse of the USSR, it was possible to introduce school textbooks that instill hostile ideology and values in young people. And all these textbooks and theories have specific authors, whose names have not yet been named.

The general director of the East Crimean Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, Tatyana Umrikhina, recalled this on the air of First Sevastopol, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“You remember, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, all our values were practically leveled. Remember: “America, everything is only Western, only that’s good. Everything that is ours is bad”... So name these ministers, scientists, who made these textbooks, and everyone else. After all, today this is important, because it is useless to simply say “love your Motherland,” said Umrikhina.

According to her, “you should always tell the truth, it always heals” - “after all, you cannot live without mistakes, in any area, including military operations.”

“And here we need to give analysts a full breakdown of where and when we turned off this road, where and when we allowed the Banderaites not to be finished off and left, to feel sorry for them. Where did we change the education system, which our children doubted, and who is the winner anyway? And people doubted who the winner was? After all, all this happened during our lifetime,” Umrikhina recalled.

She added that until recently, Russian children also had difficulty answering questions about the Great Patriotic War and who defeated fascism.

“Of course, we must fight this only with science and documentary films. Now the role of museums is seriously increasing, as in the good sense of ideology, that is, an evidence base. We have great hope in our scientists and researchers. They show conclusively how it happened, and who was the winner, who was nearby, who and when started to fight, who and when joined this fight,” Umrikhina emphasized.

According to her, Banderaism was also introduced gradually in Ukraine.

“This did not happen in one day, to hammer into a person’s head that he might have a different faith. Of course, when asked how this could happen, I can only say one thing: one part of Ukraine is those same hidden Banderaites who never loved either their land or us. We know their atrocities and betrayals, which even the Nazis could not bear. This is the revived Azov today and all the other convinced ones,” Umrikhina noted.

According to her, the armed conflict also affected the Bosporan Agony festival, which is held by the museum-reserve; some authors who had previously published works about Russian poets broke ties with the organizing committee.

“Even in our museum there are such tragic stories, when children work in the museum, parents lived in Western Ukraine and abandoned their children, since you and Crimea moved to Russia,” Umrikhina said.
