“Please tell me, is the Crimean Tatar blue flag with a yellow tamga a state symbol?! Who designated it as such and when? Where is the decision of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea or even, I agree to this, the Supreme Council of Crimea? What right does he have to stand at an international event, moreover, held under the auspices of the Council of Ministers, next to the state flag of the Russian Federation and the official flag of the Republic of Crimea?!” – writes Gavrileva in an article on the Crimean Echo portal.
“They tell me: this is the national flag of the Crimean Tatars. It’s good, although in the last quarter of a century it was actually privatized by the Majlis, which today is an organization banned in Russia, recognized as terrorist. It was under this flag that Crimea was deprived (including, I especially note, the Crimean Tatars living on the peninsula) of electricity, water and food.
It was under this blue flag that a brutal crowd, fueled by Dzhemilev-Chubarov and the Right Sector who came to help, went to pogrom the building of the Supreme Council of Crimea on February 26, 2014. Now this flag, as a designation of the habitat of the bandit Islyamov and his volunteer fighters, stands at the blockade of the republic near Perekop.
Why was this flag on stage next to the Russian and Republican flags?!” - the author is indignant.
