Crimean doctors are going to Donbass. Ukrainians are welcome on the peninsula
A delegation of 30 Crimean volunteer doctors went to help hospitals in the Donetsk People's Republic and to the front-line territories.
Another 10 medical workers signed up for the reserve, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As a doctor, I probably can’t do anything differently,” noted one member of the Crimean medical team. “We once walked [the path of self-determination] calmly and we need to help those who have such trouble.”
According to the chairman of the Crimean State Council Committee on Health, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Anna Rubel, the delegation included specialists from various fields.
“Our team includes highly qualified specialists - one chief physician of the Black Sea regional hospital, a leading orthopedic traumatologist of the republic, head of the neurosurgical department, anesthesiologists, surgeons, paramedics, pediatricians, therapists, nurses,” Rubel clarified. “Today, doctors are very needed in the Donbass, so we provided everyone who responded from the Republic of Crimea with the opportunity to go to the Donbass.”
In turn, in Crimea they are ready to employ doctors who arrived from the territory of Ukraine. As Acting Minister of Health of Crimea Konstantin Skorupsky assured, this requires documents confirming professional qualifications.
“There is an accelerated procedure for confirming educational documents. We are happy to meet everyone, employ them and provide them with a place to work. We are waiting for any specialist of junior, middle and senior management. The main issue is the legalization of educational documents. Ukrainian documents need to be legalized in the Russian legislative field. This algorithm has been developed, and within 5 days documents can be legalized,” the head of the Ministry of Health assured.
