Crimean doctors came to the aid of Mariupol
Crimean doctors, who went to help their colleagues in Donbass, are providing assistance to residents of Mariupol. There is no water in the hospital, the power is periodically turned off, part of the building has no windows and there are signs of fire.
A group led by the chief physician of the Chernomorsky District Hospital, Yegor Titov, is on duty around the clock in one of the hospitals in Mariupol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our Crimean medical workers are trying their best to help citizens who spent a long time in basements and shelters,” said Anna Rubel, head of the specialized committee of the State Council of Crimea accompanying the doctors. “Many have purulent and infected wounds. Some did not receive vital medications for a long period. The amount of work is huge. But their colleagues convinced them that they were not afraid of difficulties.”
Crimean specialists went to Donbass on May 10. Two weeks later, a rotation will take place, and a group of 30 people will return to Crimea. They will be replaced by other medical workers who are already signing up for the reserve.
They explain their desire to be on the front line by the desire to help and gain clinical experience that is not available in peaceful conditions. Doctors live in hospitals there, and work around the clock.
