Those who happen to live in an abandoned military unit near Odessa are afraid of catching an infection due to unsanitary conditions: mattresses, bed linen are dirty or completely missing, premises are not properly renovated. The military refute reports from the General Staff that they were provided with everything they needed, and say that they can only hold on thanks to the help of volunteers.

According to one of the officers, when people see such conditions, they refuse to serve further, the Odessa.net portal reports.

The 36th Coast Guard Brigade from the village also complains about inadequate living conditions for their families. Perevalnoye, who was quartered in a Nikolaev sanatorium. People were offered only beds in multi-bed rooms of the sanatorium, writes the Odessa Life portal. Such conditions are not suitable for families with children, so the sailors are looking for suitable housing in Nikolaev to rent at their own expense, and ask caring Ukrainians to help them financially.

Let us recall that before the start of the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the Crimean Peninsula, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that it plans to provide military personnel who left Crimea with service housing on the mainland by 2016. In the meantime, the state is ready to pay for military personnel to live in rented apartments.
