Crimean Tatars called the Chubarov-Dzhemilev march a senseless PR provocation of the enemies of their own people
The “March to Crimea,” which members of the Mejlis, banned in the Russian Federation, plan to carry out, will be used exclusively for their PR.
Over the past six years, Crimean Tatars can clearly see and compare the transformations that Russia has carried out.
From Ukraine, they only received a power outage, various blockades and devastation.
The Crimean scientist Umer Abdulgaziz stated this on air on the Millet TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Let's just analyze - now we are already in the 20th year. We have experience from a previous similar march and how it ended. This is despite what happened when the border was not yet seriously developed and some kind of free movement could have been allowed. By and large, if you say, this is already so outdated, it’s the day before yesterday.
Now to attract someone with these marches, slogans, shouts... I am more of a pragmatist and value people based on the final result. This is what you did, being a leader for more than 20 years, what did you do? What's built? This march is for God's sake, but what does it mean? Roads, kindergartens, schools, some higher level educational institutions? What is the purpose for?
If it’s just for the sake of hype, some kind of PR and end the whole thing, film it from an advantageous angle and then use it for completely different purposes. I think that the people already have very good experience from the results of past events, and plus the month of Ramadan... and what will happen with the coronavirus and so on. In my opinion, this is a completely unreasonable and senseless action that will bring a severe headache and nothing more...
Here we can make a comparison - on the one hand, the care shown in the form of building schools, kindergartens, strengthening the material base of educational institutions, and on the other hand, what we got was that we shut off the water and deprived us of electricity.
I have my own bitter experience - I had to go through tragic events in our family, our grandmother passed away and all this happened in the complete absence of electricity. How we had to carry out all the activities - on generators, on everything else. Just put it on the scales and compare what those gave and what these gave,” summarized Abdulgaziz.
