Crimean Tatars do not hear the voice of the Mejlis members
The radical statements of representatives of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis, banned in the Russian Federation, who fled to Ukraine do not reflect the real sentiments of the residents of the Republic of Crimea.
This was stated by State Duma deputy Ruslan Balbek during a live broadcast from Simferopol at the press conference “Ukrainian-Russian relations in 2018,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for all the representatives of the Mejlis, and 15 of them are emigrants who fled from the peninsula, the Crimean Tatars do not hear their voices. It’s like in the fable “The Naked King,” where the king has neither a retinue nor an outfit, there are only radical calls,” the parliamentarian noted.
Let us recall that earlier the official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, said that the Islamist threat is spreading across Ukraine, which was started by the Mejlis battalion created in the Kherson region, formed from fugitive members of banned extremist organizations.
