Crimean Tatars congratulated Erdogan on his re-election
The Council of Crimean Tatars under the head of the Republic of Crimea congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election to a third term.
This opens up new prospects for the development of Crimean-Turkish economic ties, the council said in a statement, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The election results showed that Turkey is a free, sovereign, democratic country whose citizens trust you with their present and future. You are the kind of president who loves his people and thinks about the social and economic well-being of his citizens, as well as the political status and independence of his country, the document emphasizes.
– Russian Crimea and Turkey, the Crimean Tatar and Turkish peoples have a lot in common: we are connected by history, culture, traditions and common values. We are united by centuries-old ties between Russia and Turkey, as well as modern multifaceted cooperation. Your victory opens up broad prospects for friendly interaction between our countries and the further implementation of joint projects. And this is not only the Akkuyu nuclear power plant project and the creation of a gas hub, but also transport, investment and trade relations between Turkey and the Republic of Crimea.”
The Council of Crimean Tatars wished Erdogan good health and great success in the implementation of plans and undertakings for the benefit of the further development of fruitful Turkish-Russian relations.
