“What the Western media writes is not true. For all 23 years of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea being part of Ukraine, not a single law was adopted on the resettlement of deported peoples. But a month after Crimea entered Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the rehabilitation of the Crimean Tatar people,” Ilyasov noted.
He said that in the federal target program for the development of Crimea and Sevastopol, more than 10 billion rubles have been allocated to solve the problems of peoples repressed on ethnic grounds.
“The Crimean Tatar language received the status of the state language. All names of administrative buildings, all state documents are duplicated in Crimean Tatar. No one restricts the use of national languages at public events. The public television and radio company “Millet” operates 24 hours a day, the vice-speaker of the Crimean parliament.
According to him, there are now 16 schools on the peninsula with the Crimean Tatar language of instruction. The latter - one of the best on the peninsula - was recently put into operation in the village of Fontany. There are Crimean Tatar theaters, a library, a museum and other institutions on the peninsula.
“The construction of the cathedral mosque has begun under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation. The Crimean Tatars have been waiting for this for 17 years. In total, there are more than 1000 mosques in Crimea, Muslims can easily visit them,” Ilyasov emphasized.
He also said that a memorial complex of peoples repressed on ethnic grounds is being built in Crimea. Land for individual construction is allocated to repressed persons on a priority basis. They have benefits for utilities and public transport.
Let us note that Remzi Ilyasov in the past served as deputy head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars, but after the coup in Kyiv he supported the entry of Crimea into Russia.
As PolitNavigator reported, current sociology shows, that the Crimean Tatars are convinced that life is much better under Russia than under Ukraine.
