A few days ago, a delegation from the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars, led by Dzhemilev and Chubarov, visited Ankara, to whom Erdogan promised support in negotiations with the Russian leader, the publication writes.
“Turkey expects to send its representatives to Crimea to assess the situation on the spot, and wants to find out Putin’s opinion regarding holding a kurultay of the Crimean Tatar people on its territory,” a member of the Russian delegation told the publication, admitting that the Kremlin does not really like this way of putting the issue.
Details of the discussion of the Crimean Tatar issue in Ankara have not been disclosed.
