The head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars, Refat Chubarov, stated this on air on the BTB TV channel.
“As long as Ukraine is afraid to violate Russia’s claims to limit our own rights, we will lose our nations. Today, the Crimean Tatar people are on the brink of survival because Ukraine has done nothing to protect its territory and its people. This is a big problem because if 10% of the thugs are out on the streets with guns and law enforcement isn't doing their job, you have no right to demand that civilians go bare-handed and fight those thugs. Both bandits and military personnel traveled to Crimea on February 27. Bandits from the Stavropol Territory are the so-called Cossacks, but with machine guns under their fur coats. These were GRU officers. But there was an army in Crimea, it did not repel the aggressor,” says Refat Chubarov, expelled from Crimea.
