Crimean universities are ready to accept applicants from the Kherson region and Zaporozhye
Applicants from the liberated territories of Ukraine are expected in Crimea this summer.
Graduates of Ukrainian schools will be able to enter one of the Crimean universities under special conditions, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are talking not only about applicants from the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions,” said the executive secretary of the admissions committee of KFU. Vernadsky Alexey Gusev. “In past years, people from different regions of Ukraine were interested in studying in Crimea, and this year too.”
However, unlike previous years, in order to enter universities in Crimea under a quota, applicants from Ukraine must independently register on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, fill out an application and pass the selection process. Taking into account the situation in the neighboring state and the special military operation, this information is not widely disseminated.
“We predict that a certain number of children from the Kherson region will come to us for the entrance campaign without registering on the website and will be interviewed in subjects that they did not study at school and take exams in the rest,” Gusev explained. “Graduates from schools in the Donbass republics will most likely choose universities in the nearest regions of the Russian Federation – in Voronezh, Rostov, Belgorod.”
In total, this year KFU will admit 2,4 thousand people to bachelor’s degrees, 600 to specialists, and 1200 to master’s degrees on a budgetary basis.
Since the beginning of the special operation, almost 1,5 thousand children from the LPR, DPR and Ukraine have continued their education in Crimean schools. Another 10 people went to colleges, 13 to universities.
