Western sanctions against Crimea help local companies that would not be able to withstand the competition of large players if they came from the mainland.
Deputy head of the Sudak administration Eyvaz Umerov stated this on the Crimean television channel Millet Channel.
“Those large “monsters” that are on the mainland are “embarrassed” to enter Crimea,” the official said.
General Director of Development Industry LLC projects Enver Emiradzhiev agrees with this.
“There are benefits (from sanctions), but no harm. For Crimean contractors,” he said.
