Moscow - Simferopol, April 11 (Navigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Europe's largest lion park "Taigan" in Belogorsk was left without money due to the blocking of the safari park's account by Ukrainian banks. African lions, Amur tigers and Far Eastern leopards were left without food.

“A few days ago I was informed that I cannot use either cards or cash intended for keeping animals in the safari park. This also applies to the Yalta Zoo, where more than 500 different animals are kept, including extremely rare ones,” RIA Novosti quotes Oleg Zubkov, director of the safari park.

As of today, there is only a couple of days' worth of food left for the animals.

“I am forced to turn to various organizations and the Russian government to protect rare animals from starvation,” said the director of the safari park.
