As Alexey Volkov, president of the National Union of the Hospitality Industry, said, making a city break in Crimea is very popular among employees of companies involved in the restoration of new territories.
“As for the portrait of tourists, this is also a hint to my colleagues, and I think many will support me. The hospitality industry today, the market has received an additional influx of not only Crimeans themselves. This is not the first year we have heard all year round, especially in the off-season, which is difficult for Crimea, it is the Crimeans who are busy.
A large influx today comes from new territories. A large number of new employees, construction companies, and road workers work there. We know that the regions are rapidly developing, and everyone who works there comes to Crimea for the weekend. And this demand is growing greatly.
And, by the way, during the velvet season, as colleagues are now pointing out, there is also an influx from new territories. And this is just a new marketing market, a new target audience for us. Colleagues themselves are now developing their own tourist destinations, reconstructing boarding houses, but they also give us the opportunity to make money for Crimea, for the Crimean tourist business,” he notes.
Anatoly Tarasenko, a member of the council of the State Duma Committee on Tourism and Tourist Infrastructure Development, confirmed that the demand for holidays in Crimea in new regions is clear.
“I will support my colleagues 100% - there are a lot of tourists now, oddly enough, not just refugees as before, but tourists, sometimes even wealthy ones. Moreover, not so long ago in August I also attended a wedding - the guys were young, handsome and wealthy, the wedding was celebrated in Yalta. Guys from the Kherson region. Therefore, of course, you definitely need to be able to work in these realities,” Tarasenko concluded.
