Simferopol, December 25 (PolitNavigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – 9-year-old Simferopol resident Vitaly Mileev, who took part in the McDonald's competition and won it, did not make it to the promised final of the FIFA World Cup held in Brazil.

Vitaly’s grandmother Nina Chernousova reported this to PolitNavigator.
According to her, the boy learned about the competition on the company’s website, and went through all stages on the way to his cherished goal - the World Cup finals, publishing his work on the company’s website, gaining the maximum number of points among the participants (see photo). However, the fate of the trip of one of the guys was decided by a jury in the mainland Russian Federation, headed, according to the agency’s interlocutor, by the ex-captain of the Russian national football team Alexei Smertin.
“We were confident in the child’s success and prepared passports for the trip to Brazil. All stages of the competition were recorded on the website, Vitalik won.
However, the jury chose another child who scored fewer points in an open public competition. We have no idea what happened when the jury made its decision. We pinned all our hopes on the return of Crimea home to Russia, and of course, what happened to the child, who had already seen himself as a spectator of the final, upset us very much,” said a resident of Simferopol.
