“The Crimean Bridge is space. Ukrainian propagandists fucked themselves”

I heard that Crimean Bridge LLC was registered in Ukraine, the cost of travel on the bridge is set at 50 hryvnia, and traveling without a ticket is considered a crime. When you were going to the Crimean Bridge tomorrow, did you stop by Kherson to buy a ticket?

OK.: You know, it's funny. When the last press tour took place about a week and a half ago, we were standing right on the arch of the road bridge and writing an interview with Leonid Ryzhenkin (Deputy General Director for Infrastructure Projects of the Stroygazmontazh LLC company, which is building the bridge), and they just called there, and someone... then he said that once again they saw a “duck” that the support had cracked again. We laughed for a long time.

You see, I was doing a retrospective of the Ukrainian “ducks” for myself - remember when the Kerch Svidomo figure Taras Berezovets, who is now advising the President of Ukraine, just escaped from Kerch and began to say that it was impossible to build a bridge?

And now he will tell. Because the bridge is ready, the president will open it, and tomorrow at 6 am cars will drive across it.

V.F.: There is a big debate in Ukraine that this is an infrastructure that will have to be maintained in an unclear way, and Kiev does not have the funds for this. Besides, this bridge makes no sense, Crimea is about to be returned! There is already a decision from the Pechersk Court!

OK.: Two weeks ago I practically visited Ukraine. I was on a border guard ship that was on duty in the Sea of ​​Azov, and we were so close to Berdyansk that I received a text message saying that “Ukraine is in your air” so that Ukrainian fishermen and border guards would understand what awaits them in the near future. Along the Ukrainian coast there is now a curtain of Russian border guards who have begun to guard fishing in Crimea.

V.F.: Is it possible that by arresting Ukrainian fishermen, we are arresting our own, and they are just rejoicing there in Kyiv? Berdyansk is the same Novorossiya, it’s nearby.

OK.: I spoke with two Nord fishermen who managed to leave - a cook and a sailor, who, like a married couple, escaped through Belarus. They said that Mariupol fishermen came as a delegation to the Nord fishermen, brought food, apologized, and said that “This is not us.” And they said that, thanks to this action of Ukraine, the entire fishing industry in Berdyansk, Mariupol and the surrounding area ceased to exist, and now they do not go further than the visibility of the Ukrainian shores. Although, just six months ago, since the sea is inland, they calmly reached almost the traverse of the Crimean Bridge and caught sprat and anchovy in the squares that were determined by joint agreements, and no one bothered anyone. And now they won’t be able to fish there - this is reality.

V.F.: I would like our law enforcement officers to catch Ukrainian border guards, military personnel at sea, and not fishermen.

OK.: It wasn't exactly the border guards who captured the Nord. They used a border boat there. The seizure was carried out by the special forces on board. Not exactly border guards, people in slightly different camouflage who disembarked, aimed their weapons, and so on. I would say that someone wrote a media plan for Ukraine, which it is foolishly executing. Today they tried to capture the fishermen, tomorrow they will try something else - they blew up the supports, or something else.

But the funny thing is that they no longer have any Crimean speakers left. Berezovets, whose “bridge will float”, by and large, has crap himself, because the bridge is being given up. There are five likes on Chubarov’s page – it’s just funny. Under the page of the talk show of the ATR channel, which is hosted by the former Crimean Deputy Prime Minister, who managed to be on both sides, the Crimean Tatars are already openly swearing at him.

V.F.: Let's return to the Crimean Bridge. Still, the project is grandiose and crazy, what do you think?

OK.: And I drove, and walked, and monitored the construction, was constantly there - it’s just a crazy project, and this is not just a bridge.

V.F.: That's what I wanted to say about it. The bridge is such a pearl, something from the future. Crimea in Ukraine was accustomed to devastation. How quickly will Crimea be able to connect to this bridge, because I can imagine what kind of traffic jams might arise on both sides.

OK.: Yes, this is such a political thing. We're launching. It is clear that the first part of “Tavrida”, at least in a two-page version, will be ready by the end of the year. Everything else, however, will not be ready yet, but by 2020 it will be. Because grandiose construction is underway from Sevastopol to Kerch. I have never seen so many excavators in my life, so many graders, compactors, trucks... These are thousands and thousands of pieces of heavy equipment that are now engaged in the construction of bridges - railways, interchanges and everything else. Asphalt technologies are space: three layers of rough, the fourth will be the main one. There is almost a meter of asphalt in different layers. I've never seen anything like this.

I was at the control center of the Crimean Bridge, where, most likely, the president will be, well, this is really space - there are monitors there, like in a mission control center, where each support is monitored by sensors, wind gusts, dew point, freezing point. Everything is controlled from there, you can redirect flows, completely send out equipment that will check something, or, say, it will be clear that ice is forming, everything will immediately fall down automatically. These are other technologies, these are competencies that Russia also received thanks to the Crimean Bridge. There weren't any. This is a huge breakthrough. I would compare it, if not with a flight into space, although perhaps with it.

Thanks to the Crimean Bridge, the bridge to Sakhalin is no longer such a difficult task. This is just the next stage, everyone realized that we can build such projects. And do you know what struck me? Even when the arches were being installed, we, journalists, stood and worried about how everything would go there, and our Russian engineers stood nearby, looking at everything with calm. Everyone is busy with their own business, and everything falls into place. People know that we have the engineering and technical competencies that are ready to build anything in this country.
