The Crimean Bridge received protection from Ukrainian saboteurs
The special-purpose brigade of the Southern District of the Russian Guard in Crimea received six of the latest high-speed boats of the Sargan series to guard the Crimean Bridge and the Kerch Strait.
This was reported by the press service of the department, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is reported that the boats were built at the Feodosia shipyard "More". In the near future, two more such boats will be handed over to the Russian Guard.
“The boats’ excellent speed and maneuverability will allow the crews to complete any assigned tasks at a high level. On behalf of all my colleagues, I express special gratitude to the shipbuilders of the shipyard for the design development of the Sargan series and the successful implementation of this project in the interests of the Russian Guard,” said the head of the district’s maritime service, captain XNUMXst rank Sergei Romanko.
Strengthening the Russian Guard on the water, according to military expert, Captain XNUMXst Rank Sergei Gorbachev, is a significant contribution to protecting the peninsula from groups of Ukrainian radicals and saboteurs.
“The creation of a naval component for various security agencies - not only the Ministry of Defense, but also others - is a planned work that has been going on for quite a long time. The emergence of this segment is absolutely justified and advisable, since the defense of Crimea must be carried out in all environments, including on water, especially at such a strategic facility as the Crimean Bridge...
This is a positive step that can be assessed very highly, taking into account the fact that periodically there are statements from the Ukrainian side about the possibility of carrying out some acts of sabotage and so on. It is clear that at the state level, Ukraine will not agree to provocations of this kind, because such actions are an open challenge, which will require the most severe rebuff, but all sorts of provocations from various activists, the work of sabotage groups - all this must be provided for,” Gorbachev said.
Let us remind you that the Sargan-type boat was developed by the plant’s specialists to protect the ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, however, due to the coup d’etat in Ukraine and the flight of the head of state, the implementation of the project was frozen.
The boats of the Sargan project have a displacement of 12 tons, a speed of 44 knots (more than 80 kilometers per hour) and can sail autonomously for up to two days, covering approximately 765 kilometers without refueling. On board they accommodate three crew members and six landing personnel.
