The Crimean Bridge paved the way for new investments
This year, an equipped camping site designed for 1000 places will appear in the west of Crimea.
The Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic, Vadim Volchenko, stated this at the Yalta International Economic Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the minister, the issues of creating high-quality car camping on the peninsula were resolved thanks to the launch of traffic on the bridge across the Kerch Strait.
“Chernomorsky district, Olenevka village. At the expense of the state - transport accessibility, roads, diversification of the territory. About 170 hectares for long-term investment. An investment project that actually entered this territory - 26 hectares, 500 rooms, 1000 beds. This is actually a breakthrough project for this region.
So far, at the first stage, this is the format of a modern car camp with houses, air conditioning, all the necessary infrastructure, food, recreation, and water activities. In the near future, within two years, the construction of a hotel complex with one and a half thousand rooms on this site is already a capital investment.
500 rooms for a region that is in demand from the point of view of diving, kiting, sports tourism, where the festival of extreme sports “Extreme Crimea” and “Crimean Wave” takes place, this is a great opportunity.
We understand that the investor has plans for commercial expansion into nearby areas. A separate topic is servicing automobile tourists; about 21 investment sites have now been created in a wide variety of regions in Crimea. This is a fairly small investment from a business point of view. 3-5 million rubles with payback within three months.
This is a clear story and it is clearly requested. Its even greater relevance arose in connection with the opening of the Crimean Bridge, because the flow of auto tourists has increased significantly,” Volchenko said.
He also emphasized that over the past year, 28 new sanatorium-resort and hotel organizations were opened in the republic, and the number of rooms increased by 1612.
