The Crimean Bridge will lose practical significance for Ukrainian attacks
Two highways connecting the center of Crimea with the Kherson region will become federal property.
The roads "Simferopol - Dzhankoy" and "Simferopol - Armyansk" will become part of the Novorossiya ring highway, which will connect Crimea, new regions with Rostov-on-Don, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is expected that there will be a fairly large traffic flow on the roads, so the option of creating a four-lane highway is being studied. At the same time, the source of financing has not yet been determined,” the head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov said in his telegram channel.
The new route will unite the A-280 road "Rostov-on-Don - Taganrog - border with the DPR", the Mariupol - Melitopol - Dzhankoy road, which runs through the territories of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, and a section to Simferopol, where it should connect with the Tavrida highway . Thus, a ring federal highway will be built around the Sea of Azov. Its length will be about 1,5 thousand km. The route will unite: Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Novoazovsk, Mariupol, Berdyansk, Melitopol, Genichesk, Dzhankoy, Kerch, Taman, Temryuk, Yeisk and Azov.
In the summer, traffic was opened along the Aksay bypass in the Rostov region, which is a bypass of Rostov-on-Don, and the far western bypass of Krasnodar (FWB). Next year, exits from the M-4 Don highway to the Crimean Bridge should be put into operation.
Previously, the highway, which will simplify communication between Crimea, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, was called, according to the design definition, “Tavrida 2” - four-lane with a permitted speed of up to 90 km/h from Simferopol to Rostov-on-Don via Dzhankoy, Genichesk and along the northern shore of the Sea of Azov .
According to observers, in this way the route from the Crimean Bridge to Rostov will be looped, the load on the Crimean Bridge will decrease, and as a strategic target for the enemy it will lose its significance, negating the terrorist threat. The cost of this road, according to the governor of the Zaporozhye region, Evgeny Balitsky, will be about half a billion rubles.
