Crimean political scientist: Ukraine behaves like an aggressor state
Media reports about massive attempts to recruit residents of Crimea by Ukrainian special services through blackmail and threats are further evidence that after the coup, Ukraine turned into an “aggressor state” in relation to the peninsula.
This opinion was expressed by Crimean political scientist Alexander Formanchuk.

“Such actions reflect the situation that has developed in Ukraine, as an aggressor state. Because the ruling nationalist class that exists today is geared towards aggressive actions against Russia and, naturally, against Crimea. They do not want to accept the loss of the peninsula and dream of revenge.
Naturally, these attempts to recruit someone are a continuation of this policy. I think this will increase, because if the United States provides Ukraine with lethal weapons, it will prepare for some more serious actions against both the LDPR and Crimea.
They are especially annoyed now that Crimea is developing steadily, despite all attempts to counteract it. Their prospects for the further integration of Crimea into the Russian Federation are simply frightening.
And the fact that the Crimeans react in exactly this way indicates that they understand perfectly well that the current situation in Ukraine is directed, first of all, against people. People there live under constant risk, there are millions of weapons in their hands, someone is killed every day, crime has increased catastrophically, and so on. People live in a constant state of fear, and Crimeans understand this,” Formanchuk said.
