Crimean speaker: Ukraine is a bloody looking glass
The bloody events of the last four years in Ukraine prove that Crimea did the right thing by not accepting the coup in Kyiv and deciding to fight for reunification with Russia. This is stated in a statement by the Speaker of the Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov.

“Kyiv is celebrating the 4th anniversary of, as they call it, “resistance to occupation” in Crimea. Although we all saw with our own eyes that we had resistance, and nationwide resistance, precisely to the coup d’état with its oligarchs, bandits and neo-Nazis. It took place in Kyiv. We did not allow this public into Crimea. Of course, without the help of Russia, without the decisive actions of President Putin, it would be very difficult for us to hold out. But if Moscow had not seen that we were ready to resist this self-proclaimed Maidan government, no one would have extended a helping hand to us. They help those who are ready to do it themselves. And we were ready.
But in Kyiv, it seems, a sort of “kingdom of crooked mirrors” has now been finally built: when black is said to be “white”, and white is said to be “black”. Just yesterday Poroshenko signed the so-called Law on the “Reintegration of Donbass”. Reintegration actually means restoration. And the law provides for the expansion of the powers of the President of Ukraine to use military force. This is how they are going to “restore” it! Does anyone doubt that if they were confident in their impunity, they would also “reintegrate” us?
Once again I am convinced how wisely and timely we acted when we left this bloody looking glass into which Ukraine was turned by its current owners. Where war with one’s own people is called “reflecting aggression”, the right to kill one’s citizens is called “reintegration”, and our return to Russia, for which we unanimously voted four years ago, is called “occupation,” notes Konstantinov.
Thank you!
