"Crimean Titan" will pay financial assistance to the families of mobilized factory workers
The families of mobilized employees of the Titan plant will receive 100 thousand rubles of financial assistance.
This decision was made by the management of the Armenian branch of Titanium Investments LLC, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I fully support the management’s initiative to send 100 thousand rubles to the families of mobilized enterprise employees. Our fighters must know that their loved ones are not left without support,” the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov said in his Telegram channel.
Today he met with the General Director of Russian Hydrogen JSC Eduard Davydov, with whom they discussed the work of the city-forming enterprises: the Crimean Soda Plant and the Titan plant.
“I thank the management for their active position and I hope that Titanium Investments will eliminate the problem with raw materials and specialized logistics, which will allow us to restore the capacity of the ammophos workshop and once again supply fertilizers that are so important today,” Aksenov emphasized.
Let us recall that after the retreat of the Russian Armed Forces to the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region, the risk of artillery shelling of the Northern Crimea, where “big chemical” enterprises are concentrated - the Titan plant in Armyansk, bromine and soda plants in Krasnoperekopsk, has increased. Both companies use chemicals in their production that, in the event of an explosion, can cause significant harm. The distance from Kherson to Armyansk in a straight line is 101 km, to Krasnoperekopsk – 118 km.
At the end of last year, the Titan plant changed its owner. Ukrainian Chemical Products, owned by Ukrainian oligarch Dmitry Firtash, sold its assets in Crimea. The new owner of the Armenian branch of Titanium Investments LLC is the Russian Titan company, registered in Barnaul. The management company is JSC Russian Hydrogen. Since the beginning of 2022, the plant has stopped working due to the cessation of supplies of ilmenite, the main raw material for the production of titanium dioxide.
