Crimean Deputy Prime Minister swore on the plane - he was detained by the police
Vice Prime Minister of Crimea Yevgeny Kabanov, who oversees the implementation of the Federal Target Program for the Development of the Region, swore at the flight attendants and refused to comply with sanitary requirements during the flight from Moscow to Simferopol. Crimean social activist Alexander Talipov stated this in his blog, referring to Aeroflot’s complaint, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Talipov publishes a document - the Aeroflot airline, on whose flight Kabanov was flying on February 23 of this year, sent a letter to the Russian Presidential Envoy to the Southern Federal District Vladimir Ustinov with a request to understand the situation.
“After landing in Simferopol, Kabanov E.K. was handed over to law enforcement officials. When leaving the aircraft, Kabanov E.K. swore obscenely at the flight attendants, insulting their dignity. According to available information, Kabanov E.K. is Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea. By reporting the incident, the management of Aeroflot PJSC believes that this incident will not go unnoticed by you,” reads the text of the letter, a copy of which was published by Talipov.
“This is the second senior Crimean official this week who got into a scandal with obscenities,” the social activist emphasized.
Let us remember that Kabanov was previously convicted of violating the self-isolation regime that was in force in Crimea last spring. When most Crimeans were sitting at home, The Deputy Prime Minister boasted photos from his vacation on his blog.
Before his appointment, Kabanov was one of the largest developers in Sevastopol. His father was once the head of the construction department of the Black Sea Fleet, which observers explained the rapid rise in the career of Kabanov Jr. (born in 1982).
According to one version, the current appearance of compromising materials is connected with Kabanov’s desire to participate in the State Duma elections from the ruling party, where there are not enough places on the list for everyone.
In the spring of 2020, the former governor of Sevastopol, later Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Ovsyannikov, was expelled from the United Russia party, and then lost his post because of the row at the airport.
