Crimean officials were exempted from tax reporting
Simferopol, August 08 (Navigator, Kirill Boyarin) – The State Council of Crimea at today’s session allowed officials of the republic not to report on their income. Deputies adopted amendments to the law “On public positions of the Republic of Crimea” by a majority vote, reports a Navigator correspondent.

Following the amendments, the changes will not affect all civil servants, but only those who were already in civil service by the time the law was adopted, that is, by May 29. When appointed to a new position, these people are not required to complete a tax return.
“They do not provide information about their income, property and property-related obligations and similar information about their family members, as well as information about their own and family expenses,” the amendments to the law say about such officials.
Please note that this rule is valid until January 1, 2015.
