The corresponding decision was made on Saturday at the party conference of the Crimean Socialist Revolutionaries; 32 out of 33 conference delegates voted for Yuryev’s candidacy.

In addition, the delegates elected the Regional Branch Council of 11 people. In particular, the general director of the Chernomorneftegaz enterprise Sergei Beim and the ex-mayor of Alushta Vladimir Shcherbina were elected as its members.

When he was the head of the tourism committee in the Mogilev Public Council under the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Alexander Yuryev became involved in a scandalous fight with the deputy chairman of the OS Andrei Kuzmin, after which he was hospitalized with a concussion.
