Simferopol, March 02 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - The future of Crimea is in the Eurasian project, Vasvi Abduraimov, the head of the Milli Firka organization, opposition to the Crimean Tatar Majlis, said at a meeting with a delegation from Tatarstan, as well as Russian senators in Simferopol.

“Vasvi Abduraimov emphasized in his speech that the multinationality of Crimea should be considered as a dominant factor in any projects for the political development of Crimea. According to him, the implementation of any mono-ethnic project in Crimea is impossible due to objective factors, and this fact must be taken into account both by the governments of Ukraine and Crimea, and by the international community.
In addition, Vasvi Abduraimov noted that the predominantly Turkic-Slavic composition of the population of Crimea leaves no doubt that the future of the peninsula and all of Ukraine lies in the implementation of the Eurasian vector of development,” the Milli Firka press service reports.
“Representatives of the Federation Council confirmed that Russia is ready to invest significant sums in the development of Crimea, including in the development of settlements of compact residence of Crimean Tatars, which are not provided with the necessary engineering networks and communications,” the message clarifies.
“Representatives of the State Council of Tatarstan also expressed support for the Crimeans and called on them to maintain peace and interethnic harmony in Crimea. They confirmed Tatarstan’s interest in implementing joint projects on the territory of Crimea and complained that previously neither the Ukrainian authorities nor the leaders of the Mejlis paid enough attention to the development and strengthening of ties between the fraternal peoples of Tatarstan and Crimea,” noted Milli Firka.
