Crimean Tatar lawyers claim that the arrested Ukrainians are no longer in Crimea
Ukrainian military personnel arrested after a provocation in the Kerch Strait were taken from Crimea to Moscow.
Lawyer Dzhemil Temishev, who defends the commander of the Berdyansk boat, Lieutenant Roman Mokryak, wrote about this on Facebook, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“The sailors are already in Moscow. Colleagues from Lefortovo reported. Today, due to “technical measures,” Lefortovo was practically closed. And we in Simferopol were not able to visit our clients, since some kind of events were allegedly carried out with them,” Temishev wrote.
It is interesting that the day before the move of the arrested was predicted by the Russian liberal lawyer Nikolai Polozov.
“There is a potential danger that they will be taken to the mainland. And then the whole scheme with the current lawyers may break down. It will be necessary to look for lawyers locally. I don’t want to say that all colleagues cooperate with the FSB, but it happens that lawyers do not work in the interests of their client. Of course, the authorities are interested in precisely such lawyers entering the process and ruining it from the inside. They also place special prisoners who are processed. Work will be carried out on disorganization and disunity,” Pologov said.
As TASS reported today, three wounded Ukrainian sailors were discharged from the Kerch hospital today. The Commissioner for Human Rights in Crimea, Lyudmila Lubina, said today that two sailors and an SBU officer will be transferred from Kerch to a pre-trial detention center in Simferopol. According to the Ombudsman, the rest of the Ukrainian Navy servicemen and an SBU officer arrested in the case of violating the state border of Russia are being held in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center.
