This was stated by the vice-mayor of the Crimean capital Teyfuk Gafarov, the press center of the Simferopol City Council reports.
“I want to warn everyone who is currently engaged in trading activities by circumventing the law: either work legally, or you will not be able to work at all,” the official warned.
According to him, the fight against natural disasters will be carried out comprehensively.
“Raids alone will not correct this situation. Therefore, we will take the initiative to tighten fines. The amount that is in effect today - from 500 to 2000 thousand rubles - does not frighten violators. Moreover, there is no regulatory framework yet that allows the seizure of products - which only plays into the hands of natural disaster workers. We will also try to include in the legislation the ability for employees of the trade department to draw up administrative acts,” explained the deputy mayor.
Teyfuk Gafarov emphasized that an agreement has been concluded with the directors of city markets to provide free trading places directly to food manufacturing enterprises, farms, citizens with personal subsidiary plots, as well as to provide benefits to low-income citizens.
