Crimea and Sochi will have to compete with other Russian destinations
The Federal Tourism Agency organizes charter flights not only to Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory, but also to other destinations.
The head of the Federal Tourism Agency, Zarina Doguzova, stated this today, speaking at the Federation Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Please note that we did not launch charters to Crimea and the Krasnodar region. We launched them in Khakassia, Altai, and the Kaliningrad region, which is not as popular a beach destination as Crimea.
This winter we are launching a charter on Sherigesh. It’s also not the most popular place when compared with Krasnaya Polyana and Rosa Khutor. This is one of the key aspects of our work with great love for Crimea and the Krasnodar region; in our country there are dozens of equally interesting destinations where you can have a wonderful vacation,” said Doguzova.
According to her, 5 new charter destinations were launched this year. In particular, to Khakassia, Kaliningrad and Lake Baikal. In winter, Sherigesh (Kemerovo), Murmansk, Vladivostok and Minvody will be added to them. This will reduce the cost of flights for tourists.
“A number of tour operators and I are planning to launch charter flights to the Far East for the New Year, which will reduce the cost by one and a half to two times due to the fact that we are creating a comprehensive tourism product,” Doguzova said.
In addition, according to her, the “tourist cashback” subsidy program will help reduce the cost of flights.
