The general director of the Abrau Durso champagne wine factory, Petr Slepchenko, announced this on Friday at the Yalta Economic Forum.
“In Crimea there is not enough production capacity, and those that exist need to be re-equipped. This process should be stimulated by the state. Otherwise, wine materials from Ukraine and Moldova will continue to be supplied to Crimea,” Slepchenko quotes TASS.
In turn, the Commissioner under the President of the Russian Federation for the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs, Boris Titov, confirmed that Crimean winemakers now have difficulties in financing the modernization of enterprises, bottling products, as well as problems with logistics.
At the same time, in his opinion, there are positive changes on the peninsula.
“Not the easiest times have passed in Crimea and everything is moving towards fewer problems,” the ombudsman noted.
He called on Crimean winemakers to change more actively and adjust their activities to Russian standards.
“The most important thing is that you change, because there will be no further delays,” Boris Titov emphasized.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea, the total production capacity of grape processing in the wine industry of the peninsula is 247,3 thousand tons per year.
